Eric Skadson is an Austin-based artist with an curiosity to learn about his environment, people, and their stories. In 2024, Eric earned an MFA in Studio Art at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to this, he served his country in the Navy and his community as a classroom teacher.
Over a decade ago, Eric discovered his calling while investigating his paternal roots throughout the Indian subcontinent. There, he documented a six-month journey and acculturation through the art of photography. To this day, that experience continues to shape his practice as he utilizes the photographic medium to connect with strangers and understand the world around him.
